In Conversation with Aijaz Khan
Our third elocutionist entails intriguing elements of storytelling, photography, filmmaking and film direction hovering at the realities fictionally. His name is Aijaz Khan. He is an Indian film director. His debut film is “The White Elephant” (2009). He has been working in the advertising industry; directing and producing Ad films, for over two decades now. He is a storyteller at Peach Films. He’s a connoisseur of Urdu poetry and poems by Allama Iqbal, Ahmed Faraz and Ghalib. Khan has worked as a collaborating director in a short film NAFS(2012). Passed out from Elphinstone College with Bachelors of Arts in Economics, he has successfully secured the award for Best Director at the Rajasthan International film festival for his feature film ‘Hamid’. Hamid has earned Two National Awards. This film secured national film award for ‘Best Feature Film in Urdu’ and national film award for ‘Best Child Artist’ at 66th National Film Awards in August 2019. Mr. Aijaz Khan received an award from the Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu. His thoughts about ‘Hamid’ were deliberating over coherence and a holistic approach towards considering the reality.
